The Bertone Freeclimber is a rare SUV built in collaboration between the Italian design house Bertone and Daihatsu during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Based on the Daihatsu Rugger/Fourtrak platform, it featured European styling by Bertone and BMW-sourced engines, giving it a unique blend of Japanese off-road reliability and German performance. The Freeclimber offered a more refined and exclusive alternative to traditional 4x4s of its era, appealing to drivers who wanted rugged capability with a touch of Italian flair.
