The Citroën Saxo is a compact city car produced from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, designed as the successor to the Citroën AX. Lightweight and easy to handle, it stands out for its urban agility, mechanical simplicity, and low running costs, making it a very popular choice in Europe.

The engine lineup ranged from economical gasoline and diesel units to more performance-oriented versions such as the Saxo VTS, well known for its sharp handling and excellent power-to-weight ratio. Available in 3-door and 5-door body styles, the Saxo also gained recognition in rallying and entry-level motorsport, contributing to its sporty and approachable image.
