The Coggiola T-Rex is a rare and experimental concept SUV unveiled in 1982 by the Italian design house Carrozzeria Coggiola. Based on the Volvo C303 military chassis, it combined off-road toughness with avant-garde Italian styling. The T-Rex was designed as a luxurious all-terrain vehicle, equipped with a powerful inline-six engine and a distinctive, boxy design that foreshadowed later luxury SUVs. Only one prototype was built, showcasing Coggiola’s vision of blending rugged capability with high-end comfort, a concept decades ahead of its time.
