The Honda Today is a compact kei car produced by Honda primarily for the Japanese domestic market. Introduced in the mid-1980s, it was designed to comply with Japan’s kei-car regulations, focusing on minimal exterior dimensions, low displacement engines, and excellent urban efficiency.

Available mainly as a three- or five-door hatchback, the Honda Today emphasized practicality and simplicity, making it well suited for city driving. Early generations featured small three- or four-cylinder engines, while later versions adopted more modern powertrains and improved safety equipment. Thanks to its lightweight construction, the Today delivered low fuel consumption and agile handling. It became popular among urban drivers and young motorists looking for an affordable, easy-to-own city car.
