The Lancia Lybra is a mid-size family sedan (also available as the SW wagon), produced from 1999 to 2005, designed as a refined and comfort-oriented alternative in the European D-segment. True to Lancia’s tradition, the Lybra focuses on ride comfort, interior quality, and a calm, composed driving experience rather than sporty ambitions.

Built on a shared Fiat Group platform, it features a conservative and elegant design that deliberately avoids aggressive styling cues. The engine lineup included petrol units and notably efficient JTD diesel engines, which were praised for their smoothness and fuel economy.

While it never aimed to rival sportier German competitors, the Lancia Lybra appealed to buyers seeking a quiet, comfortable, and well-equipped sedan or wagon with a distinctly Italian sense of understated luxury.
