The Lotus Elite is an iconic sports coupe from British manufacturer Lotus, produced across multiple generations, with the most famous being the Type 14 introduced in the late 1950s. It perfectly embodies Lotus’ philosophy of prioritizing lightness, handling precision, and efficiency over raw power.

As the first production car to feature a fiberglass monocoque body, the Lotus Elite was a major technical milestone. Its extremely low weight, combined with a lively four-cylinder engine and refined aerodynamics, delivered outstanding driving dynamics for its era. The Elite also enjoyed a successful racing career, particularly in endurance events, further cementing Lotus’ reputation in motorsport.
