This group gathers midsize models derived from the Mazda Capella/626 platform. Known under various names depending on markets and generations (including Mazda 616, 626, Capella, Cronos, and the sportier MX-6), they offered a wide range of body styles from sedans and wagons to coupes. The Ford Telstar, sold mainly in Asia-Pacific, was a rebadged version built under the Mazda/Ford partnership.
