The Nissan Gloria and Nissan Cedric are closely related luxury sedans that defined Nissan’s flagship offerings for more than four decades. Often considered twin models with slight design and trim variations, they represented the peak of Japanese executive cars, combining comfort, prestige, and long-lasting reliability.
The Nissan Gloria is a premium sedan produced mainly for the Japanese domestic market from the late 1950s to 2004. Known for its elegant styling, refined comfort, and advanced technology for its time, the Gloria targeted executives and luxury-oriented buyers. Across its generations, it featured rear-wheel drive platforms, powerful inline-six and V6 engines, and later, advanced safety and comfort equipment. Today, it is considered a symbol of Japanese luxury sedans from the Showa and Heisei eras.
