From late 2008 on the Y12 chassis, the Mitsubishi Lancer Cargo, Nissan AD (commercial van) and Nissan Wingroad (passenger-oriented wagon) are mechanically identical underpinnings. The Lancer Cargo is simply Mitsubishi’s badge-engineered variant of the AD Van platform, while the Wingroad adds more passenger comfort and trim.
The Nissan Wingroad is a compact station wagon derived from the Sunny and AD lineups, designed to offer a balance between practicality and efficiency. Popular in Asian and Latin American markets, it became known for its spacious cargo area, reliable engines, and affordable maintenance. With its compact size and versatile layout, the Wingroad served as a dependable family car and urban delivery vehicle, blending comfort with utility.
