The Subaru Impreza WRX is a high-performance compact car with deep rally roots. Introduced in the early 1990s, the WRX pairs a turbocharged flat-4 (Boxer) engine with Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel-drive system to deliver strong acceleration, sharp traction and confident handling in all conditions. Available in hatchback and sedan forms and spawning the more extreme STI variants, the Impreza WRX is prized by enthusiasts for its tunability, motorsport pedigree and everyday usability.
