Volkswagen EuroVan - Versions & models

Transporter, Caravelle, and Eurovan are often associated, but are not identical. They reflect different configurations and markets, particularly in terms of commercial (utilitarian) vs. passenger-focused variants.

- Transporter is typically the commercial van version: simpler interior, built for cargo or work use, available as panel van, flatbed or crewvan (up to 9 seats but basic trim)
- Caravelle is a passenger-oriented minibus, offering higher comfort, seating for up to 8-9 people, premium trim, and more insulation: ideal for shuttles or VIP transport.
- Eurovan refers to the North American name for these models (mainly T4/T5 generation) and often denotes a passenger or camper conversion, but it is not necessarily equivalent to Caravelle or Transporter in every market.

In short: while they share a common heritage and platform, you can assume :
- Transporter = utilitarian
- Caravelle = passenger comfort
- Eurovan = North American branding, often camper or passenger version.
