The Ford Galaxy is a large multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) developed by Ford primarily for the European market. Introduced in 1995 and produced across three generations, it was designed to provide spacious and versatile family transportation, with seating for up to seven passengers. The first generation was developed in cooperation with Volkswagen and SEAT, sharing its platform and major components with the Volkswagen Sharan and SEAT Alhambra, while later generations were based on Ford's own vehicle architectures. Available with petrol and diesel engines, as well as hybrid powertrains on later versions, the Galaxy emphasizes passenger comfort, flexible seating arrangements, generous cargo capacity, and long-distance practicality.
