This family of models represents Mazda’s long-running compact car lineage, marketed under different names across the globe. From the early Mazda 1000 and 1300 to the popular 323, Protegé, and Lantis, these cars shared the same DNA of efficiency, practicality, and reliability. The platform was also adapted for other brands, including Kia (Brisa), Mercury (Tracer), and Haima (Family), demonstrating Mazda’s global engineering reach and consistent quality through generations.
The Mazda Etude was a refined variant of the Familia, offering enhanced comfort and design details for select markets. It represented a more upscale interpretation of Mazda’s compact car range.
