Mercury Tracer / Also known as :
This family of models represents Mazda’s long-running compact car lineage, marketed under different names across the globe. From the early Mazda 1000 and 1300 to the popular 323, Protegé, and Lantis, these cars shared the same DNA of efficiency, practicality, and reliability. The platform was also adapted for other brands, including Kia (Brisa), Mercury (Tracer), and Haima (Family), demonstrating Mazda’s global engineering reach and consistent quality through generations.
The Mercury Tracer was a North American compact based on Mazda’s 323 and Protegé designs. It offered the same proven mechanics in a package tailored for the U.S. market, blending reliability with American comfort.
