The Mitsubishi eK Wagon is a compact five-door kei car developed by Mitsubishi Motors primarily for the Japanese domestic market. Introduced in 2001 and produced across several generations, it combines the small exterior dimensions required by Japan's kei car regulations with a practical, tall-body design that maximizes interior space. Available with naturally aspirated or turbocharged 660 cc three-cylinder petrol engines depending on the generation, it has been offered with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and various transmission options, including automatic and continuously variable transmissions (CVT). Later generations were developed in cooperation with Nissan and share their platforms and mechanical components with the Nissan Dayz. The eK Wagon emphasizes maneuverability, fuel efficiency, and everyday practicality.
