The Trabant 1.1 is a small car produced in the early 1990s as the final evolution of the iconic Trabant line. Unlike earlier models, it features a four-stroke engine sourced from Volkswagen, replacing the traditional two-stroke unit. While retaining the familiar design and lightweight construction, including its distinctive body materials, the Trabant 1.1 offered improved performance, reliability, and usability. It represents a transitional model at the end of East Germany’s automotive era.
